  Fair trading investigated Amalgamated pest control and came to its conclusion that they breached their contract with us! Amalgamated pest control and I had a 12 month contract. 6 months into the contract they refused to keep coming out! When asked why, they said they did not need a reason. ( I have this in writing from them as proof!)
  I kept writing to them and asking them to return as they had a duty of care as we have a contract with their head Brisbane office for termites. They refused to answer no matter how many emails and letters sent.
  They kept all our hard earned money and sadly while continuing to write to them over a period of time, we lost our house of 24 years to termites. Engineers were called in to investigate and it had to be demolished. We had to move and rebuild.
  As you can see from our story above, I regret ever getting a contract with them and I do not wish anyone else to go through stress and rebuilding costs as we have.
  
  A contract is an agreement between two or more people or groups that creates a legal duty or responsibility. A contract is a serious promise, and there can be serious consequences if the contract is intentionally or unintentionally broken.
